[VOICE POST]

I hadn't realized that curses could cause so much trouble-- profanity, and blasphemy, and threats... I wanted to apologize to, I believe it was, Hiyori and Roxas? I was not myself when you met me, and I feel awful for being so rude to you. Please forgive my behavior! I hope you found your way without too much difficulty, after you left my home.
That particular unfortunate change of mind-- I believed myself to be a different person indeed, someone from another part of my own whorl-- distracted me from a topic I'd meant to consider.

It's not uncommon for little children in palaestra to ask if the whorl is flat. The whorl is so large that one doesn't notice the curvature of the surface, and the young mind can't fathom something of that size.
Generally, one lets them come to understanding on their own by asking guiding questions, rather than telling them; pointing out the skylands above and asking how our own Viron might appear from a similar distance. Most catch on quickly, understanding that the whorl curves up above them on either side, curling around the sun so there is no end to its surface. If one traveled north or south for long enough, one would end up again in Viron.
I feel like a child again; I so often do, here. I had assumed only that this whorl was much larger than mine-- the skylands hidden by immeasurable distance, or something like the shade. That the sun traveled along a path from one end of the whorl to the other. That the stars were the faint light of cities we cannot see.
But like a little boy I have much to learn; unfortunately, I feel I'm much too old to be at this kind of a loss.

...How is it that you do not fall off your sphere?
